Zhangxinan Wu 吴张心安 (she/her) is a Beijing-born, New York-based interdisciplinary artist-researcher whose work traverses the fields of dance improvisation, videography, and performance poetry. Her practice often delves into performance as a daily ritual, seeking to create spaces for contemplation, recycling, and communal possibilities. She is the founder of Kine Studio, and the co-founder of Thursday Afternoon Lab, a practice-oriented performance group. She is also an instructor, editor, and research facilitator at Beijing Contact Improvisation (BJCI), and has served as Research Director for Contact Sharing & Gathering 2023.
Wu holds a BA and an MA in English from Peking University, alongside an MA in Experimental Humanities from New York University.
