Frances Alenikoff is a pioneer of the Soho Arts and Performance Renaissance. Her film and video archives contain extensive works of choreography and performances. These archives are beginning to be transferred to DVD and we would like to share it with you! Thursday June 9 starting from 9:00 pm, the house will be open, 537 Broadway floor 4 We screen the film "Shaping Things" - a Cannes Film Festival award-winning film about Alenikoff's creation of the piece "Fossil Folio" with her and the dancers of the Frances Alenikoff Dance Theater Workshop, as well as other of Alenikoff's original works. There will be refreshments and the event is free and open to the public. Curated by Francesca Rheannon (journalist and daugther of Frances Alenikoff) and Emma Kim Hagdahl (MR artist in residence through The Swedish Arts Grants Committee) 2011.
