TALL GIRLS DANCING/Sara Gibbons & Doug LeCours
TALL GIRLS DANCING is a New York City-based performance duo founded by Sara Gibbons and Doug LeCours. TGD engages in a multifaceted process of experimentation in both choreographic and digital spheres, provoking questions around the politics of postmodern dance aesthetics and the role of pop culture in contemporary life. Their work has been presented in NYC at CPR, Triskelion Arts, and Brooklyn Arts Exchange, and nationally at the Denmark Arts Center, Colby College, Middlebury College, and Rhode Island College. Past projects include the 'For Elsa' series, an ongoing process of remaking a dance using their memory of it as the only point of reference, and 'Kylie Jenner Lip Kit,' a performative meditation on white complacency and millennial ego.
