Song Tucker

Song Tucker is a Philadelphia based movement artist in her fourth year at University of the Arts. She has produced three distinctive works to precede a lineage of production in honor of a multiplicitous self, “Tatu (a revolution of three)”, “I Used to Love H.E.R- an ode to hip hop” and “lean in and listen to the murmurs they’re actually screaming FOR YOU TO COME HOME”. She is currently invested in molding her writings with movement based practices in light of her upcoming works. The current and most engaged work in process is called “this is the work of thawing...if I WAS TO SINK”, a work inspired by her love for Lorna Simpson, Saidiya Hartman, and various hip artists who proposed liberatory possibilities as gateways for inspiration.
