Sangeeta Vallabhan has been studying movement for over 35 years, first through dance and then yoga. She has been teaching yoga in New York City for over sixteen years. Sangeeta teaches vinyasa style classes that are challenging, well balanced, grounding and empowering; she also teaches trauma informed yoga. Sangeeta has studied with many teachers over the years; in total she has trained well over 1200 hours. She trains yoga teachers at the 200hr and 300hr levels, and she trains teachers in trauma informed yoga. As the creator of solemarch, Sangeeta encourages students to use the practices of yoga to continually seek out their own voice, their true sense of self and to not feel the need to conform to any one method or philosophy. We are all unique and complex - and it's natural to deduce our yoga practice would be as well.
