Rourou Ye

Rourou Ye is a dance artist and entrepreneur raised as an only child in China and lives in Manhattan. Holds a BFA in Choreography from Shanghai Theater Academy and MFA in Dance from Sarah Lawrence College, Rourou is influenced by Chinese traditional and Western contemporary practices. Prior to relocating to the USA in 2015, she worked on Musical Theater productions at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Rourou’s dances have been presented by GIBNEY, Danspace,The Field, Center for Performance Research, Dixon Place, BAAD, River to River festival at LMCC, Yangtze Repertory Theater. Rourou is the founder of One Space Arts Inc, a company aiming to deepen the artistic dialogue between Chinese and American cultures. Through programs of study and immersion, she seeks to offer Chinese students comprehensive multicultural experiences.
