Mariusz Kujawski is a dancer, choreographer, and Pilates instructor. Originally from Poland, Mariusz was first introduced to technical movement in competitive ballroom dance in his hometown Tomaszow Mazowiecki. By the age of 16, Mariusz was awarded The Nations Icelandic Champion in Latin America Dance with his partner Gudni Osk as double champions. In 2008, he moved to the USA. He inadvertently began building a dance career in the States and went on to receive his BA in dance at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Upon moving to NYC, he completed his Pilates certification through Balanced Body University with Balanced Body Faculty member Lesley Powell. Mariusz has extensive kinesthetic anatomy, biomechanics, and movement analysis training from Julliard anatomist Irene Dowd. In 2018, Mariusz co-founded ZE MOVES, through which he teaches sliding scale private sessions, group classes, and leads the Pilates for the People online program. Additionally, Mariusz teaches and develops programming at program at RISE by We - WeWork’s complete wellness experience.
Mariusz continues to express his artistry through dance and leads Capture Dance workshops, which offers workshops for photographers and dancers. He loves to show off his culinary skills in the kitchen and one of his greatest joys is to cook healthy and creative meals. While teaching, Mariusz threads his intuitive sense of creativity into every Pilates session and class.
