Maddie Katz is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in English at Fordham University. She studied ballet at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School and is interested in Contact Improv and other improvisational forms of movement. Since discovering the act of flâneurie, she has finally found a name for her love of wandering and exploring the streets of big cities. This has led to a deep interest in how bodies construct and inhabit public space. She hopes to continue exploring the various types of public performance from dancing to skateboarding while engaging with questions of accessibility, inclusivity, and spatial negotiation.
