Lucy Sydel is a choreographer and theater maker from New York City. She currently studies performance and anthropology at Bowdoin College and was previously a drama major at Laguardia Arts High School. She is particularly interested in physical theater, gesture across cultures, and the liminal spaces between dance and theater. A student of Ellen Robbins, she has performed at New York Live Arts and Dance at Socrates, as well as with the Sokolow Theater/Dance Ensemble. She also does her fair share of puppeteering, juggling, balloon animal making, and miming.
