Liz Charky is a performer, video artist and performance-maker based in New York City. Originally from Los Angeles, California, she studied performance and film at Connecticut College (BA, Dance / BA, Film Studies) and MADE in France (Paris & Melisey, France). Liz has presented work at Connecticut College, the American College Dance Festival at UMASS Amherst, Dance Complex (MA), Movement Research, Triskelion Arts, YES NOISE at the Highline, Chez Bushwick and Dixon Place (upcoming). She currently works with Kim Brandt and Ayano Elson, and has performed at Artists Space, AVA, AUNTS/New Museum, Gibney Dance, Ice Box (PA), The Kitchen, Movement Research, Pioneer Works and Triskelion Arts. Liz is also a freelance filmmaker, currently collaborating with Yara Travieso, as well as assisting Susannah Ludwig/Rebecca Dreyfus on various projects.
