Juan-Pablo Alba Dennis

Juan-Pablo Alba Dennis has been doing tap, jazz, ballet and modern dance since the age of 11 at The Caribbean School of Dancing in Trinidad and Tobago. In 2009 Mr. Alba Dennis attended his first summer intensive at Ballet Hispanico. His choreographic flame was sparked after his experience in NYC where upon his return to Trinidad choreographed his first work for the Metamorphosis Dance Company in 2010. This was the beginning of his keen interest in movement investigation and exploration and in 2011 he was awarded a full scholarship to attend the Beijing Dance Academy where he completed a certificate in choreography. Most recently he has graduated from the Ailey/Fordham B.F.A. program, class of 2017. He is recognized as a young up-and-coming choreographer and dancer in Trinidad and Tobago where he was the recipient of the COCO Dance Festival Young Mavericks Award (2015).
