Janice Lancaster

Janice Lancaster is a dancer, choreographer, educator and advocate. She has performed with Shen Wei Dance Arts since 2005, and has also worked in projects with the San Francisco Symphony, Opera Omaha, Danielle Russo, Aynsley Vandenbroucke, Lance Gries, Miguel Gutierrez, Satoshi Haga, among others. Commissions include: Hubbard St. 2, VIA Dance Collaborative, the Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center, Bard Music Festival, Bessie Schönberg Choreographer’s Residency on the Yard, Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center and The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art. She holds a MFA from Hollins University/American Dance Festival, BFA from the University of NC School of the Arts, and is a certified Hatha and Restorative Yoga teacher.
