Jack Waters

Jack is a member of the alternative experimental free association “kitchen“ band NYOBS. Among Jack’s dramatic film roles is their appearance in the lead role of the critically praised 2015 feature film Jason And Shirley. That and their own short film "Fashion Is" screened at MoMa - the latter in the series for the exhibition Performing Difference: Gender in the 1980s Downtown Scene. Waters has collaborated with Peter Cramer for 35 years in international collectivist culture & practice. Known for experimental cross-disciplinary multimedia works that encompass experimental, non-narrative, documentary and personal history strategies Jack has exhibited internationally at the Whitney Museum,  New Museum,  London Film Makers Cooperative, Center for Contemporary Culture Barcelona, Anthology Film Archives, and MIX NYC. They were co-directors of ABC No Rio, in the mid 80’s and current co-founder/co-director of the non-profit arts umbrella, Allied Productions, Inc. and its primary venue, the community art garden Le Petit Versailles.
