HUI Dance House
Yahui Lu is an independent choreographer and dancer from China. She is a founder of HUI Dance House. After graduating from the SunYat-sen University in 2004, she worked with Guangdong Modern Dance Company, Beijing Dance Theater and Hou Ying Dance Theater in China. She has collaborated with many different artists and toured to international arts festivals in more than a dozen countries. Yahui relocated to New York in 2016, where she has been dancing with Shen Wei Dance Arts. In 2015, she co-founded the “HUI Dance House” with Guanglei Hui and the company was invited to perform in TaiWan by The Round Table Dance Festival.
Guanglei Hui is artist director of Cross Move Lab and Adjunct Professor at Queens College. He studied at The Russian National Ballet Dance Academy and joined the first modern dance company in China, Guangdong Modern Dance Company. In 2008, Hui was invited to perform with GMDC in the anniversary celebration of the Pina Bausch Dance Company. He was also invited to participate in the International Choreographers Residency Program at the American Dance Festival. Hui began working with Shen Wei Dance Arts in 2014. He has toured to international arts festivals in more than twenty countries.
Dancer: Tsai Hsi Hung worked with the Australian Dance Theater, Tasdance, and Chunky Move Dance Company dancers, and appeared on Australia's TV show "So You Think You Can Dance."
