Frank Conversano, rumored to be "the bastard child of Isadora Duncan and Jackie Gleason," was an original cast member of the ground-breaking opera Einstein on the Beach by Robert Wilson and Philip Glass. In the 1970s and 80s, Frank appeared in numerous productions by Wilson and Andrew de Groat. He danced his interpretation of Yvonne Rainer's Trio A for PBS’s series Dance in America. His film Dizzy, created with Matthew Buckingham, won a Best in Festival award at the Ann Arbor film festival. In his solos, he has often collaborated with composers, including saxophonist Lenny Picket and violinist Michael Galasso. Recognition includes an NEA Choreographer's Fellowship and a NY Dance and Performance Award ("Bessie"). Frank is an enthusiastic supporter and participant in Dance for Parkinson's.
