Emma Clayton

Emma is studying BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins in London. She came to New York in 2017 to undertake various internships during a placement year, between the second and third year of her course. Despite taking regular dance classes from the ages of four to sixteen, Emma left dancing behind somewhat, entering an explorative engagement with performance as her artistic practice developed. She has found a revived interest in dance and movement over the last year, increasingly drawn to movement based practices as a source of research and interest. Her process based work translates through mediums of text, spoken word, participatory performance, and movement.
