BamBam Frost
BamBam Frost is a Swedish dancer and choreographer who graduated from Stockholm University of the Arts with a BFA in contemporary dance spring 2013. In her works she aims to work beyond hierarchical, postcolonial structures within movement expressions and create work that expands the view of what there is space for within contemporary choreography.
BamBams first group piece SORRY premiered spring 2018 at MDT, Stockholm. SORRY is a study of the potential of dances, aesthetics and expressions within American popular culture, on how to deconstruct to reconstruct and see where they take us. BamBam is currently working on a solo Like a prayer, witch will premier in the Fall of 2019 in Stockholm.
Earlier works include Pre-Sorry, Broken heart dance, Imprint and Perfect Defect- together with P*fect. Besides her own work, BamBam is touring and performing with To Come- extended by Mette Ingvartsen. She has also participated as a dancer/performer in Movement Monumets by Alexandra Pirici, The cleaner and Cleaning the Mirror by Marina Abramovic, How many bodies does it take to start a revolution By Paloma Madrid, Ready Ready by Mari Carrasco, The Creation, Drone and Story of Eve by Erik Linghede and Somos- Som oss by Lisa Janbell.
