Anna Sperber is Brooklyn based choreographer and performer. Her work has been commissioned by The Joyce Theater’s Unleashed Series at New York Live Arts, The Kitchen, Dance Theater Workshop, Baryshnikov Arts Center, The Chocolate Factory Theater, The Brooklyn Museum of Art, CATCH in P.S. 122's COIL Festival, Gibney Dance: Agnes Varis Performing Arts Center, and The American Dance Festival, among other venues. Sperber’s work has been supported through fellowships and artist residencies including The MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Gibney Dance Center Dance In Process, LMCC, Sugar Salon at Barnard College, and Movement Research. As a performer she has worked with many artists including luciana achugar and Juliette Mapp. She is a co-founder of classclassclass and has taught at Movement Research, American Dance Festival, Gibney Dance, Hunter College, George Washington University, and Wayne State University. She founded and ran BRAZIL, a studio and intimate performance space in Bushwick (2004-14).
