Alfonso Cervera and Irvin Gonzalez

Alfonso Cervera and Irvin Gonzalez are both professors, dance makers, and performers. Cervera is a current faculty member at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater while Gonzalez is a professor at Mt. San Jacinto College in California. Both Cervera and Gonzalez share the same interest in exploring Latinx methodologies and movement based explorations through Mexican-American themes and social dance forms such as Quebradita and Ballet Folklorico.

Cervera and Gonzalez have been able to present their collaborative work at RedCat in Los Angeles, FLACC (Festival of Latin American Contemporary Choreographers) in San Francisco, New York at Bush-wick Studios, and at the Culver Center of the Arts located in Riverside, CA.
