Aeternus Dance Company
Founded in 2016 by Clara Auguste, a native of Haiti, Aeternus Dance Company seeks to unite the physical, political and emotional world with the art of Dance. Aeternus is the latin word for “eternal” or “everlasting”. With this, the world is seen as one which is eternal and within these realms, Aeternus tends to explore the political systems and culture of both Haiti and America. Aeternus explores the roots of the Afro-Haitian and West-African Dance aesthetic while connecting it with the modern and contemporary dance form as well. The aim is to unite and explore both the internal and external environments of people through dance.
