  • JIll Sigman subs for iele paloumpis April 12, 19 and 26

In this three-week class segment we will somatically explore the (long awaited!) coming of spring and the growth, regeneration, and plant energy that it brings.

April 12— Plants and Detoxification
We will work with the spring plants traditionally used to detoxify our human bodies and explore the idea of detoxification in multiple respects. We will use movement to consider the body as a permeable part of environment/nature rather than as something outside of or in opposition to it.

April 19— Ritual
Will will explore what ritual is and how repetition, vibration, exertion, and slow motion can be valuable movement tools in creating ritual. We will consider how to ritually open and close a space.

April 26—Regeneration and Altars
We will think about how spring brings rebirth and new growth, and we will create secular altars to re-imagine ourselves and the world as the season changes. Feel free to bring plants, natural objects, or other small objects of significance to you.

Jill Sigman teaches on behalf of iele paloumpis' Witchcraft – a Corporeal Practice on April 12, 19 and 26.
