I’m excited to be part of this redefinition of the breadth and scope of dance. This version of dance with many branches and peaks definitely resonates with my career and experience as a dancer/choreographer/teacher/writer/multidisciplinary artist. It is truly ambitious to tackle this redefinition in the academic setting.

In many ways, since dance came late to the university and still feels as if it must prove itself in the academic environment, those who have managed to achieve some recognition within the current system hold
very tightly to their small slice of the pie.
