Jenn Joy is a writer, teacher, and editor based in NYC. She is co-editing a book with André Lepecki entitled Planes of Composition: Dance, Philosophy, and the Global (Seagull Press, forthcoming) and her writing has recently been published in NYC: Das vermessene Paradies Positionen zu New York published by Haus der Kulturen Welt/Theater der Zeit and in Dance Theatre Journal, TDR, Women and Performance, and Contemporary. She was a Lecturer in the History of Art and Visual Culture Department at Rhode Island School of Design from 2005-07 and is a PhD Candidate in Performance Studies at Tisch School of the Arts/NYU. She founded and directed jennjoygallery in San Francisco from 1997-2000.
