Ede Thurrell presented her adaptation of Deborah Hay's solo News at the Whitney Museum of American Art in January. Currently Ede dances with The Daisy Spurs, and has worked for many years with Julie Atlas Muz, Glen Rumsey, bopi's black sheep/dances by Kraig Patterson,and the Stanley Love Performance Group. Her solo show It's My Party: An Evening with Ede Thurrell earned praises from The Village Voice. She has also appeared with Shasta Cola, Harvest Moon's Cantankerous Lollies, and visual artist Robert Melee. Ede has created fashion spectacles for designer David Quinn (lauded in Art Forum) and for the costume collaboration of Merce Cunningham and Robert Rauschenberg. She has also staged events for Sysco Systems, Asphalt Green, and a French television commercial directed by Michel Gondry.
