In celebration of the 30th Anniversary of Movement Research, ROLL CALL presents a documentary film about the brave inception and expansive growth of this vital, New York City institution. Interviews with Movement Research pioneers, directors and artists (including Amanda Loulaki, Guy Yarden, Koosil-ja Hwang and Ishmael Houston-Jones) compose a rich, personalized history of experimental dance and performance in New York City from the1970s to the present. Directed and edited by Kyle Wilamowski, produced by Will Rawls, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts and post-production support from the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center, EMPAC, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY.
