Description: Dances from places across the world will be broadcast via Dance-Tech.tv and projected for viewing in the Abrons Art Center Playhouse.  Launching from Beirut and traveling around the world, this event will be a global game of telephone as each city’s choreographer presents a dance idea for the world.  As The World Turns culminates in NYC at the Abrons Art Center Playhouse, where the public will have opportunities to participate in an open performance score, which will be broadcast back to our distant neighbors.  Can the arts of technology and of the body manage this communication?  Participating places may include: Istanbul, Belgrade, Paris, Brussels, London and small towns anywhere.  Recommended: Neuromancer by William Gibson, Elfquest: Books I – IV by Richard and Wendy Pini, The Second World by Parag Khanna.
